ForceDecks named official supplier of the EIS

ForceDecks was today named an official supplier of the English Institute of Sport (EIS).

The EIS delivers performance-impacting scientific, medicinal, technological and engineering services to a wide-range of Olympic and non-Olympic sports teams and athletes across the UK. The new partnership sees ForceDecks become the official Dual-Force Platform Supplier to the EIS and will see the two parties collaborate to develop bespoke features and analysis for the ForceDecks system.

Two additional FD4000 ForceDecks will also be supplied to the EIS; following the recent installation of an FD4000 at the EIS’ new high performance centre in Manchester, this will take the number of ForceDecks systems at EIS high-performance centres to eight.

“The EIS has been an integral supporter of ForceDecks, and further inspired us in our mission to develop a robust, user-friendly system which we believe, ultimately, has helped elite improve their sporting performance. We would like to thank everyone at the EIS for their backing and invaluable feedback since first trialling the system in 2014,” said Dr Daniel Cohen, co-founder of ForceDecks.

Dr Phil Graham-Smith, co-founder of ForceDecks, added: “We’re delighted to make the long-standing relationship between ForceDecks and the EIS official. This new partnership is particularly satisfying for me, having worked with the EIS in various guises since 2004 in the shared goal of quantifying meaningful parameters of athletic performance.”

Alex Wolf, the EIS Head of Strength and Conditioning (S&C), said: “With the addition of the NMP ForceDecks, the EIS have been able to develop strength assessment and monitoring through the bilateral integration of the force plates and the intuitive software solution.

“The auto-recognition of tests and movements – along with the ability to longitudinally track athlete performance – has changed the way in which we can perform our assessment package. More S&C coaches with more sports are undertaking these strength assessments due to intuitive system, allowing more coaches to make better informed programming and coaching decisions with the athlete cohorts.”
